The team were determined to put last weeks defeat behind them and put in a better performance at the home ground.
Dan O'Neill showed the team's intent early on with a quick tap penalty on the visitors 22 to cross for his first of Treharris's four tries with Dale Evans converting. 7-0
Some slick backs move saw Treharris exert some early pressure but it was Cefn who scored next with a penalty in front of the posts for offside. 7-3
Connor Jones shwoed some great skill, cutting though the Cefn defence, with Daniel O'Neill finishing, crossing the try line for the home sides second try. 12-3
Cefn doubled their score with another penalty just before half time to keep the score margin tight 12-6
Early in the second half Cefn scored their first try of the afternoon with rolling maul to make the game interesting. 12-11
A knock on from the kick off saw Cefn penalised with Dale Evans increasing the home side score. 15-11
Both sides put some passages of play together but it was Treharris who took advantage with a tap penalty on the 5 metre line, and a well planned move saw Steve Parry with it all to do to cross for an excellent try-Dale Evans converted. 22-11
An interception by Cefn saw thenm cross for their second try and narrow the margin to just six points. 22-16
The next move finished off the game with Daniel O'Neill taking a quick tap penalty to score his 3rd try and take the game beyond Cefn. 27-16
