Treharris failed to contain a strong Aberdare side, The Treharris defence stood firm in the first half and despite Aberdare pressure only conceded 7 points going into the break.  

The second half started with a very early Aberdare try and despite Treharris's best efforts failed to hold the Aberdare attack.

Following some pressure from the home side forwards, Liam Hughes crossed the try line for a consolation try which Dale Evans converted.

Treharris put in a dogged defensive performance but in the end Aberdare proved why they battling for the top of the league places.
