Treharris are rewarded with an away tie to Cwmavon RFC in the next round of the SWALEC Bowl.

The first points went to the home side with a penalty. Treharris pinned the home side back with a precise penalty kick from Dale Evans finding the 5 metre line.

A resulting scrum from the line out saw Daniel O'Neill cross for the first of six tries for the visitors.

Tonyrefail regained the lead with another penalty 6-5 

Treharris doubled their score when Jamie Evans produced a missed pass and found Corey Lloyd who took out three defenders to cross the try line. 6-10

Treharris took a quick tap penalty which resulted in Connor Jones making a fine run to put Cory McCabe over for the visitors third try. 6-15

An interception by Jamie Evans proved costly for the home side and Connor Jones took on the defence to score. 6-20

Tonyrefail took advantage of an infringement and increased their score. 9-20 The home side narrowed the margin to 4 points when Ton's No 10 found space to score the first try for the visitors 16-20.

Adam Morgan picked up a lose ball and powered over the try line to extend Treharris's lead. 16-25

Tonyrefail once agian narrowed the gap with a penalty. 19-25

A charge down by replacement scrum half James Allen saw Ricky Alsop cross for a very important try. 19-30

Tonyrefail wasn't finished and powered their way over the try line with a push over try which they converted. 26-30.

This was a typical cup match with some excellent play from both sides played in good spirit.
