The Phoenix travelled to the capital city with a strong squad hoping to continue their cup run. It was the home side who opened the scoring with a penalty in front of the posts. This lead was short lived and Treharris started to dominate the game with some nice slick passing. The ever reliable Ross Jones converted.
The backs started to put some passes together and Steve Parry and Dale Evans both crossed the try line with Ross Jones converting.
The forwards were eager to get on the score sheet and a scrum on the home side 5 metre line saw Craig Yoxall do what he does best and crash through the Saracens defence for the try.
It was business as usual in the second half, with gaps opening up in the Saracens defence which were exploiting by our backs, Danyal Davies scored his second try followed by Liam Williams between the posts.
Danyl scored his try hat-trick and is on target to set a season try record.
The Cardiff Saracens gained some territory during the second half and were rewarded with a converted try.
John Ross Owen made sure the forwards continued to get a mention and took two players over the try line with him.
It was outside half Dale Evans who crossed the try line next for his second try of the afternoon with Ross Jones converting for the last action of the afternoon.
