Fixture

This mid week Mid District Cup game was played in very poor conditions. The fixture was switched to Abercynon due to the availability of floodlights.

The game was played at a fast pace and the Treharris forwards took the game to Abercynon. It was Treharris who started the strongest but failed to capitalise on the pressure.

Abercynon opened the scoring with a penalty and shortly after doubled their score to see them 6-0 in front.

Treharris were rewarded for their endeavour with No 8 Adam Morgan doing what he does best and powering his way over the try line following a quick tap penalty.Dale Evans converted

Treharris opened the second half with intent but it was Abercynon who scored with a converted penalty try following infringments in the scrum.

Treharris fought back and some aggressive forward play saw Connor Jones cross for the second try and Dale Evans converted. Treharris were back in the lead by one point.

A penalty converted by Dale Evans was enough to secure a well deserved Treharris win.
