Treharris got on the score sheet within 5 minutes of the start, Tredegar were penalised for off side, Ross Jones converted. 3-0

Tredegar were penalised for a variety of offences and this enabled Treharris to keep the pressure on and play in the visitors half. Treharris were rewarded for the pressure after 15 minutes with Ross Jones doubling the score with a penalty. 6-0

Ross Jones took the opportunity to extend the score when Tredegar were once again deemed offside. Tredegar were awarded a penalty of their own and narrowed the points margin. 9-3

Treharris continued to put pressure on the Tredegar defence and a rolling maul on the Tredegar 22 metre line resulted in another penalty for the home side, Ross Jones converted. 12-3.

Just before half time Treharris scored the first try of the game when a nice kick through by Lloyd Bennet saw Rhys Davies pounce and score. Ross Jones converted.

Tredegar started the second half with some strong scrummaging and narrowed the margin with a penalty and an unconverted try. 19-11.

The highlight of the game came when anice off load by Steve Biggins put Rhys Davies away for his second try. 24-11.

The game ended as it started with Ross Jones converting a penalty to make the final score 27-11
